Project choices
Project choices for projects taking place in 2013-2014
This form enables you to make your project choices for 2013-2014.
You must make EIGHT DIFFERENT choices, of which:
- at least FOUR must be analytical;
- at least two projects must be co-ordinated by the department that also manages your degree (except for students on C100, who can choose from any department)
- if choosing a School Education research project, you should put this as your first choice and select a further SEVEN analytical projects relevant to your degree. An analytical project will be assigned as a back-up in case your education project application is not accepted.
A full list of project titles and descriptions is available on the BS3X00 Third Year Projects 2013-2014 site on Blackboard.
Selections must be submitted by Friday 22 March 2013. You will receive email confirmation of your selections but you are advised to keep a separate record of your choices in addition.
Please check that you have chosen EIGHT different projects before submission, of which:
- at least FOUR must be analytical;
A list of project allocations and degree registrations will be issued during the Summer Term 2013, allowing time to contact your supervisor prior to the Project Preparation Course which will run from 11-14 June 2013 (see Instructions for Final Year Projects for further details of this compulsory course). The Co-ordinators will assign students to a project as high in their priority list as possible, so please pay careful attention to the order of your selections. If a group of projects is particularly popular, then the Project Co-ordinators’ Committee may be unable to place a student within their choices. In this unlikely event, the student will then be asked to submit a further round of project choices. Students planning to take 2013/14 out on Industrial, Study Abroad or Erasmus programmes must make arrangements for their projects now and take part in the Project Preparation course in 2012/13. They will be asked to confirm their project choice during their year away.
