University of Leicester Geophysical Society
The society exists to promote interest in, and knowledge of, the science of geophysics and allied sciences, and to promote friendship and cooperation among those interested in the geophysical sciences. It is affiliated as a Student Section of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. It collaborates closely with the other student societies in the Geology Department. Its activities are listed in the program below.

Visit to Shelford near Nottingham where English Heritage geophysicists are carrying out an archaeomagnetic survey over a protected historical monument site.
