Research interests include
Conodont palaeobiology; application of morphometric techniques, particularly to fossils where landmark-based methods cannot effectively capture morphological information; characterising microevolutionary trends and relating them to evolutionary processes in fossil organisms; utilising microwear analysis to constrain feeding strategy and autecology, particularly in conodonts.
